About Us

Our specialist setting supports young people aged 11-16 with a range of needs, including Autism and associated conditions. We are committed to providing high-quality teaching, personalised support, and integrated therapeutic approaches to help every student achieve their full potential.

We pride ourselves on creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment, where young people are encouraged to grow in confidence, develop independence, and experience success both academically and socially.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our students in their learning and development.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference every day, supporting young people in both academic and vocational settings, and helping them to build the skills they need for life.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, working closely with staff to create a positive and inclusive environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching staff to deliver learning and provide additional explanation where needed
  • Promoting safeguarding and the welfare of students at all times
  • Supporting students to meet and exceed their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and adapting approaches to meet individual needs
  • Accurately recording incidents, accidents, and health & safety information
  • Supporting participation in group activities, including vocational and life skills sessions
  • Encouraging positive social interaction and relationship-building

While previous experience is not essential, a genuine passion for supporting young people is key.

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • The ability to manage a range of behaviours, including those that may be challenging
  • A child-centred approach, treating each young person as an individual
  • Creativity and positivity in supporting learning and development
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the role

This is an opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team in a rewarding environment where your contribution truly matters. You'll help shape positive outcomes for young people and be part of a setting that values care, respect and individual progress.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and
