Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant – September Start
Location: Horsham

A friendly two-form entry, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Horsham is looking for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and can confidently support pupils with behavioural needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role

  • Support pupils with behaviour and emotional needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Help create a safe, supportive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • A genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN
  • Child only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Basic safeguarding understanding (training can be provided)
