Are you studying psychology or recently graduated? Looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people?

We are recruiting motivated and compassionate individuals to support pupils in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) schools across South Bristol.

This role is ideal for aspiring educational psychologists, clinical psychologists, therapists, or mental health professionals looking to build practical experience in a supportive school environment.

You'll be working with pupils aged 5-16 who may experience:
Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs
Social, emotional, and mental health challenges
Behavioural needs and dysregulation
️ Communication and interaction difficulties


Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (may vary by school)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Progression: Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles


  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Apply psychological understanding to build rapport and trust
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support learning
  • Adapt activities to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment

  • Studying or graduated in Psychology (or a related field)
  • Passionate about mental health, behaviour, and child development
  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills ️
  • Experience with young people is beneficial but not essential

  • Weekly PAYE pay - no umbrella deductions
