Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to the best possible educational experience. This will be a full-time role, due to begin on the 2nd of September 2024.

You will earn a competitive salary between £1600 to £1900 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for all students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.


  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN needs and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are highly desirable.
  • Graduates of Psychology and other relevant subjects will also be considered for this role.
