One of our partnership SEN Provisions in Cheadle are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to take on full time roles working with children with special educational needs including:

  • Autism
  • Sensory impairments including hearing and visual impairments
  • Physical disabilities
  • Down Syndrome

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of creative and engaging lessons and sensory activities
  • Support children on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Engage with children and help them to reach their full potential.
  • Support in the assessment of children’s learning and development to update EHCP plans

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Lots of patience and a calm personality
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full time availability within school hours (8:30-3:30/4:00pm)
  • Child and Adult DBS checks (This can be applied for through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
