Location: Darwen, Lancashire   
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.30 - £22,835.30 actual salary) depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week – Term Time Only

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities designed to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
*
Support the assessment of student progress and contribute to the preparation of individual learning plans.
*
Facilitate social integration and participation in school activities.
*
Provide one-to-one support to students requiring additional assistance with school tasks.
*
Assist with the management of classroom behaviour, maintaining a calm and safe learning environment.
*
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student welfare.
*
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your own understanding of SEN best practices.

Requirements:
*
NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
*
Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
*
Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of children with diverse learning disabilities.
*
Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with students, staff, and parents.
*
A proactive, compassionate, and patient approach with the ability to engage children positively.
*
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of special education.
*
A valid Enhanced DBS check.
