Contract: Permanent
Location: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78  per hour   (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary) depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full time - 40 hrs per week, Mon - Fri. Term time only

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and dynamic educational environment that is committed to fostering the academic and personal growth of children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
*
Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons tailored to meet the SEN students’ needs.
*
Support students with learning activities in the classroom, under the direction and supervision of a SEN teacher.
*
Help develop social skills and independence in students.
*
Monitor and support the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.
*
Aid in the preparation of teaching materials and settings.
*
Work cooperatively with other team members, including therapists and external professionals, to support the holistic development of the students.
*
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your understanding of SEN and educational practices.

Requirements:
*
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
*
NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is highly desirable.
*
Strong understanding of the educational and social needs of children with SEN.
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a lead teacher.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, colleagues, and parents.
*
Commitment to the school’s ethos and a genuine interest in working within an SEN environment.
*
Enhanced DBS check required (to be obtained by the employer).
