Salary: £100 per day

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Provide support and guidance to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
  • Help students with SEN to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective teaching strategies for students with SEN
  • Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, providing feedback to the lead teacher and parents/guardians
  • Support students with SEN during assessments and examinations, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions among students
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with SEN
  • Perform administrative tasks related to student records, documentation, and reporting
  • Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Work is primarily carried out in a classroom setting, with some outdoor activities and off-site visits
  • May involve working with students who have challenging behaviour 
  • Regular interaction and collaboration with students, teaching staff, and parents/guardians
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday, following the school term calendar
