  • Provide support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and implementing individual education plans
  • Help students with their learning activities and provide one-to-one support when necessary
  • Support students with emotional and behavioural issues
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or higher

Previous experience working with SEN children

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents
  • Patience and empathy towards students with special needs
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health Awareness training
  • Work in a classroom environment
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
  • Regular interaction with children and teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
