SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our client school in Salford as an SEN Teaching Assistant.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students who require extra assistance and guidance to reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for all students.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young people and children
  • Relevant transferable skills or first-hand experience
  • A valid DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one
  • Two references from your most recent employer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to students, as well as small group support, to complete assigned work
  • Assist with catch-up sessions for English, Maths, and Science
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviours
  • Lead by example and act as a positive role model for students
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns

This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
