Job Duties:

  • Provide support to the teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and materials
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) requirements
  • Manage student behaviour and encourage positive engagement
  • Supervise students during breaks and recreational activities
  • Assist with record-keeping and administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children
  • Teaching assistant qualification

Education:

  • Minimum of a teaching assistant qualification

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with children

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) requirements
  • Ability to support the teacher with lessons
  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN)
  • First aid certification

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
