I am currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for an SEN school in NWKent. This is an ambitious school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe/complex needs and communication and learning difficulties. The school invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve; as such the school strives to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and ambitious.

The school are looking for exceptional people to join their team who are able to demonstrate belief in the school culture and ethos; have a passion for working with children and young people with special needs as well as creativity and energy.

Ideal candidates will be/have:

  • Professional and caring individual
  • Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
  • Flexible, adaptable and be able to use own initiative
  • Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
  • Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential (all applications welcome)

As the range of pupil’s ages and SEN requirements vary, I am looking for flexible team members who are confident to work across all aspects of SEN and all key stages.

  • ·       Daily rate from £77 - £95 (depending on experience)

All Candidates Must:

  • Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
  • Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£38) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
  • Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions.
  • Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
  • If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
