Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a lovely SEN school located in Crowborough, East Sussex. Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Job Description:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our students. Working within a dynamic team of professionals, you will provide one-to-one and group support to children with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Providing individualized support to students with ASD, SLD, and PMLD.
  • Implementing strategies to promote sensory regulation and emotional well-being.
  • Supporting students with personal care and mobility requirements.
  • Facilitating social interaction and communication skills development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to create personalized learning plans.
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD, SLD, or PMLD is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
  • DBS clearance (we can assist with the application process if necessary).
