  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Support students with personal care tasks, if required
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support students with SEN
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

  • Knowledge of SEN principles and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification
  • Work in a school setting with students with SEN
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • May involve assisting with personal care tasks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
