ASC Teaching Assistant – Swinton (M27)

A primary SEN school in Swinton (M27) is seeking a dedicated and passionate ASC Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be expected to provide day-to-day support to pupils with ASC across the provision. Alongside this, you will deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASC, following Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work with colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils with ASC; collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the effective implementation of strategies and interventions for pupils with ASC. You will also monitor and track the progress of pupils with ASC, providing regular feedback and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience working with ASC or have specialist qualifications pertaining to ASC support. You will be expected to utilise knowledge of best practices in supporting pupils with ASC, including behaviour management strategies and sensory integration techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a huge part of this role, to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. The school need an educator who can work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the changing needs of pupils with ASC.

This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity for a school contract after a successful trial period through Teaching Personnel. The successful applicant will earn a competitive daily rate of £84+ per day, paid through PAYE, with no umbrella company or agency fees. You will receive weekly pay on timesheets through Teaching Personnel, with professional development opportunities and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
