As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. You will assist in implementing individualised education plans, offering behavioural support, and helping with learning activities. You will work closely with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of SEN conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Ability to provide behavioural and learning support

A relevant qualification in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field is desirable.

Experience working in a school or educational setting with students with SEN is essential.

  • Knowledge of SEN conditions and appropriate support strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Additional training or qualifications in SEN support or related areas would be advantageous.

This is a temporary role based in a school in Haringey, Greater London. You will work full-time hours during term time, supporting students with SEN in their learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
