SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a variety of SEMH schools in Norfolk, supporting their staffing needs. There is a huge focus on rapidly improving these schools and the development of their students and learning. You would be assisting the class teacher in the daily running of the classroom, this would include supporting pupils with their school work, behaviour management, ensuring the classroom is kept presentable and safe and some 1:1 small group work.

The ideal candidate required for this role will be, resilient, committed and have a positive attitude to better the lives of their pupils. The role will involve supporting both teachers and pupils, helping to keep the students engaged in their learning.

To be successful for this role, the ideal candidate will;

• Have experience in SEMH/MLD
• Comfortable working in environments with challenging behaviour
• A passion and desire to work with students that have additional needs
• Be available 5 days per week

• Requirements:

  • Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • SEN based experience
  • Experience working with EYFS
  •  Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Background in care
  •  Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
  •  UK address and right to work 
  • Level 3 TA qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
