SEN Teaching Assistant work available – September 2020

Teaching Personnel is supporting the recruitment of two large SEN schools in Mitcham and Croydon, that cater for children who have various complex needs, including global learning difficulties, physical disabilities, language and communication difficulties, autism and behavioural difficulties.

The details:

  • Both schools are all through from EYFS to secondary age
  • Full time and part time or day to day work available
  • To start September/October 2020 as the schools re-open to full capacity
  • Good transport links to each school
  • Working hours are 08:30am – 15:30pm, Monday to Friday

The following are desirable:

  • Experience of supporting complex needs or autism
  • Experience of supporting special needs in a mainstream school
  • Safeguarding or child protection training
  • Autism awareness or experience
  • Moving and handling or Team Teach training
  • Ability to use PECs, Makaton or BSL
  • Ability to provide personal care
