Pay: £85 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)

We are working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools who are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

These roles are ideal for individuals who are calm, resilient and passionate about supporting children who require additional emotional, behavioural or learning support.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD, SEMH and/or ADHD
  • Support children to regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
  • Help pupils access the curriculum through tailored and creative approaches
  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to meet EHCP targets
  • Support social interaction, communication and engagement
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, so patience, consistency and strong relationship-building skills are essential.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children with ASD, SEMH or ADHD (school, PRU, alternative provision, youth work, care or support settings)
  • Are calm, empathetic and resilient under pressure
  • Can build positive relationships and provide emotional support
  • Are passionate about inclusive education
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Team Teach or positive behaviour management training
  • SEN Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience with EHCPs, behaviour plans or interventions
  • Access to a range of SEN-focused school placements
  • Flexible work to suit your availability
  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
  • Ongoing SEN and safeguarding training
  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement

All candidates must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS checks and provide suitable references in line with safeguarding requirements.
