Supply Desk is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support within a Southampton school.
You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help a pupil access their education, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.
This is an ideal role for an experienced TA, support worker or someone looking to build a career within SEND education.
- Provide focused 1:1 and small-group classroom support.
- Help pupils access and engage with lessons.
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Encourage communication and social development.
- Assist with interventions and personalised learning.
- Build a trusting relationship with pupils.
- Support independence and self-confidence.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff.
- Experience with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
- SEN experience would be highly desirable.
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Confident and consistent when supporting behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills.
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
