SEN Hub Teacher

Roman Catholic Primary School | Crumpsall, North Manchester
Full-Time | 8:30am - 3:30pm | October Half-Term Start | Until July 2027

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a caring and inclusive Roman Catholic Primary School in Crumpsall, North Manchester, seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teacher to join their specialist SEN Hub from October half-term until the end of the academic year.

This rewarding role will involve teaching a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, and learning difficulties. The SEN Hub provides a nurturing environment where pupils can access a personalised curriculum designed to support both their academic progress and personal development.

The school is looking for a compassionate and proactive teacher who is committed to ensuring every child can reach their full potential. You will work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, therapists, and families to create a positive and engaging learning experience tailored to each pupil's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils within the SEN Hub.
  • Creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and supported.
  • Developing and implementing personalised learning targets and monitoring progress against EHCP outcomes where applicable.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff to ensure lessons and interventions are delivered effectively.
  • Using a range of teaching strategies, communication methods, and sensory approaches to support learning and engagement.
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, behavioural, and communication needs throughout the school day.
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil development.
  • Maintaining accurate records, assessments, and reports in line with school procedures.
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing among all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching children with special educational needs, either within a mainstream or specialist setting.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • Have a patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
  • Be committed to inclusive education and delivering personalised support.
