Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting in the Yeovil area from September 2026.

We are seeking a committed Primary SEN Teacher who can deliver creative and inclusive lessons tailored around the individual needs, strengths and interests of pupils.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Adapting activities and teaching methods to support a range of learning needs
• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging confidence and independence
• Working alongside teaching assistants and wider staff teams to provide consistent support
• Tracking pupil progress and recognising individual achievements
• Creating structured learning opportunities that promote communication, curiosity and personal development

We are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher who has a strong understanding of supporting children with SEND and is confident adapting their teaching approach to meet diverse needs.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have equivalent teaching experience
• Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs
• Be confident delivering personalised learning and differentiated lessons
• Have a calm, patient and encouraging approach
• Build trusting relationships with pupils who may require additional support
• Be flexible, proactive and ready to make an immediate impact

Experience within a specialist setting is highly desirable; however, we welcome applications from educators who have a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children to achieve their potential.
