About the Role:

Supply Desk are recruiting a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Edgware area. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and is committed to helping every pupil achieve success.

The successful candidate will deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of additional needs. Working within a supportive team, you will help to create a positive learning environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally while building confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom where all pupils feel valued and supported.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP outcomes and school procedures.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, carers, and external professionals to provide the best possible support.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to maximise engagement and achievement for every learner.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
• A strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated teaching, and inclusive classroom practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
