Teaching Personnel is recruiting a skilled and enthusiastic SEN Teacher for a specialist provision in Yeovil that supports children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs.

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated learning programmes
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning profiles
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Track progress through effective assessment and record keeping
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and review meetings
  • Support emotional wellbeing alongside academic development
  • Lead, guide and collaborate with classroom support staff
  • Champion inclusion and personalised learning opportunities
  • Participate in enrichment activities, educational visits and whole-school events
  • Maintain high expectations whilst recognising individual strengths and achievements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience supporting learners with additional needs
  • Strong understanding of adaptive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare

Experience within specialist environments supporting learners with severe or profound learning difficulties would be beneficial but is not essential.
