A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colne is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to learning
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience working with pupils with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Supportive leadership team and collaborative staff environment
