We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team. We are committed to nurturing, inspiring, and achieving the extraordinary together. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them develop vital communication, social, and emotional regulation skills. You will deliver personalised teaching to help pupils achieve both academically and personally, while fostering independence and promoting positive life skills.

About the Role:

  • Deliver tailored teaching and support to pupils with special educational needs, including non-verbal learners, using appropriate and alternative communication strategies where required
  • Plan, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that is inclusive and supportive
  • Collaborate with support staff and the wider school community to ensure pupils have access to a broad, sequenced, and personalised curriculum
  • Track pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to the SENCO and other relevant staff
  • Promote emotional literacy, self-regulation, and independence, empowering pupils to develop essential life skills

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
  • A commitment to inclusive education and fostering a safe, non-combative learning environment
  • Passion for encouraging student voice and ensuring all pupils feel accepted and involved in the school community
  • An enhanced DBS check and professional references
