Education and Training

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assess students' abilities and devise appropriate teaching strategies to support their academic and personal development
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages positive interactions and active participation
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students with SEN
  • Keep accurate records of students' progress and communicate with relevant stakeholders effectively
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or relevant experience

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Thorough understanding of SEN strategies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience working in a similar role within a mainstream or special educational setting
  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Regular collaboration with teaching and support staff
  • Potential involvement in extracurricular activities or school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
