Our vibrant school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support and guidance to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students.
  • Commitment to the role, as it may lead to a permanent position within the school.
