  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with support staff and parents to create a supportive learning environment
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their learning goals
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of relevant SEN curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse classroom
  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience working in a mainstream school with SEN students
  • Regular classroom hours with occasional meetings and parent consultations
  • Adherence to school policies and procedures
  • Opportunities for professional development and training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
