Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce are working alongside a brand new, state of the art SEN School with first class facilities, who are seeking an SEN Teacher in a rural location in Alvescot, near Oxford. In September 2024, the school will have 65 students on roll and will continue to increase our student numbers to 100 by 2027, offering teaching and learning to students across Key Stages 2, 3, 4, and 5.

 

Role and responsibilities:  

  • Motivate pupils through enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and other professionals to ensure a high standard of education
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote pupil engagement and learning
  • Create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all pupils
  • Ensure all school policies and procedures are adhered to in line with the school values 

 

Requirements before applying to the role: 

  1. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  1. Successful SEN teaching experience
  1. A good knowledge of the national curriculum
  1. Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to the success of every student
