Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher in our SEMH School, you will work with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties, providing them with tailored support and guidance to foster their academic, social, and emotional development. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student, promoting inclusivity and a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEMH needs.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilise creative and innovative teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians to support student progress and well-being.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies, to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in school meetings and reviews as required.

Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • Specialisation or experience in working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong understanding of SEMH issues and effective strategies for supporting students.
    • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering a positive learning environment.
    • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and external partners to support student well-being and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
