Position: Teacher Location: Bridlington, Contract: Full-time/Part-time

Your Role: As an Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of students with special needs. You will have the opportunity to:

1️⃣ Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the unique learning requirements of students with special educational needs, differentiating instruction to ensure inclusivity.

2️⃣ Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), setting clear learning objectives and tracking progress.

3️⃣ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to create a holistic learning environment that nurtures each student's social, emotional, and academic growth.

4️⃣ Utilize various teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and participation.

5️⃣ Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting independence, self-confidence, and a love for learning among students.

6️⃣ Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and working closely with parents and caregivers to ensure a collaborative approach to education.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with students with special needs and a deep commitment to their educational and emotional well-being.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification, with experience in special education.
  • A thorough understanding of diverse special educational needs, including knowledge of relevant teaching strategies and accommodations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students through challenges and celebrating their achievements.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in special education.
