We are working with a well-established SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role running until the end of the academic year, with a strong likelihood of extension into September and the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, SEMH, and/or complex needs).
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being and progress.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development.
  • Manage behaviour positively, using appropriate strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents/carers and external agencies where required.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within an SEN setting or with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential for strong mainstream teachers with relevant experience).
  • A patient, resilient, and flexible approach.
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
