Do you possess the skills and dedication to support a child's communication and language development? If so, we want you to join our team as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant at a mainstream primary school in Kirkham (PR4).

About the Role:

As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child in Year 2 who requires additional support with their speech and language skills. You will collaborate with the school's SENCO and other educational professionals to create and implement tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of the child. Your role will involve providing one-on-one support, implementing speech and language activities, and tracking progress to ensure measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering targeted speech and language interventions.
  • Providing individualized support to the child during lessons and activities.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Understanding of speech and language development and common challenges.
  • Transferable qualifications for speech and language.
