Could you provide SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant support?

Teaching Personnel have been working closely with an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ community school, in Blackburn. The school are seeking an individual, who can take on a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role, providing tailored support for a pupil with an EHCP for Autism.

The Senior Leadership Team are wishing to appoint a dedicated, understanding, and resilient educator. The role may be challenging, as all 1:1 roles are, however also extremely rewarding. We are hoping to find someone who can facilitate tailored learning in all subjects. The successful candidate will be supported by the class teacher, SENCO and other members of the SLT. Activities will be prepared, however the use of one’s initiative and ongoing adaptability are of great importance. 

The Role:

  • Competitive rate £12.82 - £13per hour
  • Monday to Friday, availability.
  • To start ASAP
  • BB1 Blackburn

The ideal candidate must be:

  • Experienced supporting pupils with SEN
  • Able to adjust approach to changes in behaviour with SEN pupils
  • Show a positive attitude
  • Reliable
  • Can drive or access to transport. 

You Will Need:

  • Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • UK Drivers licence (Desired.)
  • 2 References from most recent employers
