Pay Rate: From£172.98 per day (paid weekly)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

SEN Specialist Teacher (Tuition)

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to pupils in their homes. This role involves supporting learners across Primary and GCSE levels in Maths, English and Science, helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve their full potential.

The Role

You will work with pupils who may present with a range of needs, including:

• Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• ADHD
• Anxiety-related school avoidance
• Complex behavioural needs

Each pupil's requirements will differ, so we are looking for tutors who can build positive relationships, adapt their teaching approaches, and create engaging learning experiences that meet individual needs.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/tutoring experience
• Strong knowledge of Primary and/or GCSE Maths, English, and Science
• Extensive experience supporting pupils with SEN, ALN and SEMH needs
• Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to plan personalised and engaging lessons
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to travel to pupils' homes within your local area

Ideal Backgrounds

We welcome applications from:

• Primary School Teachers
• Secondary School Teachers with a specialism/experience within English, Maths and Science
• Ability to deliver the new WJEC specification

To be eligible for this role, you must be 18+ and either already have or be happy to apply for:

• Either: Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the update service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided)
• At least two professional references covering a 24-month period
