Primary SEN Teacher – Full Time – September Start

We are seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision supporting children aged 4–11 years with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
• Speech, language and communication needs
• Social, emotional and sensory needs

The school offers a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment, focusing on developing each child’s academic ability, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

The Role – Primary SEN Teacher

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Lead a class of pupils with varying learning profiles and EHCP targets
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and support staff
• Implement individual learning strategies, communication tools, and behaviour support plans
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
• Assess and track progress, adapting your approach to ensure every child succeeds
• Support pupils’ social skills, independence, and confidence

✅ Requirements – What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this SEN Teaching role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience or a strong interest in SEN / SEND / autism / complex needs
• A solid understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant SEN experience or placements are warmly encouraged to apply.
