An SEN Learning Support Assistant does not just help students with their lessons – they build confidence, foster independence, and stand alongside young people who need it most. Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate LSAs across Burgess Hill and East Grinstead for September 2026.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to students with special educational needs
  • Facilitating group interventions focused on learning and social skills
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Assisting with classroom adaptations and accessibility needs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience in SEN, education, childcare, or support roles preferred
  • Calm, patient, and resilient in approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children who need additional support
