We're working with a supportive SEN school in Oxford to offer an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience before progressing into a career in teaching or special educational needs.
Depending on the needs of the school, the role may include Cover Supervisor responsibilities, giving you the chance to lead pre-planned lessons, manage a classroom and gain valuable experience in front of pupils.
You'll work closely with experienced teachers and support staff, developing your confidence and understanding of SEN education along the way.
Your day-to-day role will vary, but could include:
You'll have plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced staff and develop the practical skills needed for a future career in education.
You don't need previous experience working in an SEN school. What matters most is your attitude, patience and genuine interest in helping young people.
Experience with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, youth work or care would be useful, but isn't essential.
Training and support will be provided as you settle into the role and develop your skills.
We're looking for graduates who are enthusiastic, patient and keen to build a career working with young people.
