SEN English & Maths Tutor - Hillingdon

Quantum Scholars is currently recruiting experienced SEN tutors and qualified teachers to deliver one-to-one, in-person English and Maths tuition for primary and secondary pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Hillingdon.

As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the students we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored lessons that build confidence, strengthen core skills in English and Maths, and support their transition back into education. Tuition sessions usually take place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting.

Role Overview

  • Deliver 1:1 English and Maths tuition to primary and secondary pupils outside of mainstream education
  • Flexible, part-time hours to suit your availability
  • Sessions take place during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
  • Make a meaningful difference in pupils' learning and development
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each learner's individual needs

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong experience delivering English and Maths tuition
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person sessions
