A highly reputable and Ofsted rated "GOOD" secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a passionate and innovative English Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis starting September.

Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and dynamic English lessons across KS3 and KS4, adhering to the national curriculum.
*Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
*Implement and contribute to the development of departmental teaching strategies.
*Work collaboratively with department members to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
*Participate in departmental and school-wide professional development opportunities.
*Engage with parents and guardians to support the educational outcomes of students.
*Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student wellbeing and academic performance.

Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent for newly qualified teachers.
*A degree in English or a closely related field.
*A demonstrable passion for English literature and language.
*Strong understanding of the current educational curriculum and pedagogy related to English.
*Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
*Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
*Enhanced DBS check clearance.
