SEN College Teacher

As a SEN College Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging and effective learning experiences for our students with Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties. From designing personalised learning plans to providing ongoing support and encouragement, you'll be instrumental in helping our students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of our students with SEN, including vocational, practical life and communication skills 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure that individual learning needs are met.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their ongoing development.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in SEN education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with young adults with SEN, preferably in a college or post-secondary setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
