Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)


Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a SEN Classroom Support Worker to support pupils across a range of schools in Swansea and Carmarthenshire.

This role involves delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including autism, SEMH, and complex needs. You will play a vital part in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in the classroom.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role suited to individuals who are passionate about supporting young people who may find the mainstream classroom environment challenging.


  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN/ALN
  • Assist pupils with learning activities and adapting tasks to individual needs
  • Support behaviour management using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Encourage emotional regulation, confidence, and classroom engagement
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN/ALN experience preferred)
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Update Service)
  • EWC Registration
  • Safeguarding Training
  • Two recent professional references
