Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middleton, where every child's progress is celebrated and every achievement matters.
This welcoming specialist provision supports pupils aged 3-11 with a range of additional learning needs. The school is committed to creating an inclusive, child-centred environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and personally, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will:
✅ Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of pupils.
✅ Assist with delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
✅ Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.
✅ Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
✅ Help children overcome barriers to learning and achieve individual targets.
✅ Build positive relationships with teachers, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

Has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
Is willing to provide personal care support when required.
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Can adapt to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
Is genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Holds relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
