We are recruiting for a Pastoral/Behavioural Support role, for one of our secondary schools in Failsworth and near by areas.

The core values of our school are Ambition, Opportunity, and Community: They believe that every child, regardless of their background or starting point, is entitled to a world-class education. They want to ensure that students’ attendance, behaviour, and attitudes to self and to learning result in them achieving good outcomes. You will be working closely with your Head of Year and predominately working with one specific year group.

The successful Behavioural Support Officer will be responsible for managing the behaviour, attendance, and support for students across the school. You will be monitoring their attendance, arranging home visits where required & offering support to them in school.

The central focus of the Academy is the achievement of their pupils.  This is not solely defined by academic standards as they recognise that achievement will take many forms depending on the individual potential, interests and talents of each young person.  They want all pupils to fulfil their ambitions whether they be academic, musical, sporting or creative. They believe a rich and varied curriculum is important to shaping a young person’s potential.

About you:
Beneficial traits for this role include patience, resilience and approachability; you also need to have the ability to communicate effectively with the SENDCO, class teacher, external agencies and parents about SEND pupils learning and progress.

What are the benefits of working with us?
You will be working for a Crown Commercial Services (CCS) approved supplier with a team full of education experts! You will be paired with a dedicated consultant who will work closely with you to find the perfect employment opportunity to suit your needs and requirements.
You will follow Smile Educations quick and easy application process which includes a video interview with your dedicated consultant. gov.uk/prove-right-to-work/get-a-share-code-online
