We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with an individual pupil to support their academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning or additional needs
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted learning activities
  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Implement strategies to support engagement, concentration, and independence
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and SENCO
  • Promote inclusion both in and out of the classroom

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs)
  • Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Be confident in supporting behaviour management strategies
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent – desirable but not essential)
