Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference to a young person's life?
We are recruiting a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a specialist school near Norwich. This is a rewarding role, but it is also one that requires patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
The school supports young people who may have struggled in mainstream education and can sometimes present challenging behaviour. As a result, this role is best suited to someone who can remain calm under pressure, build positive relationships, and provide consistency and support, even on difficult days.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the location of the school and potential travel requirements.
The school provides specialist education for pupils who are unable to attend mainstream settings and supports students from Year 1 to Year 11. Staff work closely with families and the wider community to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. While the environment can be challenging at times, it is also incredibly rewarding for those who are committed to helping young people succeed.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
