Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision - Lancing

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Lancing. This rewarding role involves working with students who may face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Help manage behaviour using consistent and restorative approaches
- Support teachers with tailored learning activities and emotional regulation strategies
- Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in education
- Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or additional needs
- A calm, resilient, and patient approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- The ability to remain positive and professional in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
Experience in schools, youth work, care, coaching, support work, or alternative provision is desirable but not essential.
