Role Overview:

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to thrive in an educational setting? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted Good secondary school in Stockport. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with students on a one-on-one basis to meet their individual needs.
  • Providing assistance with academic studies and facilitating learning and development
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive environment to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborating effectively with SENCO, teachers, and support staff to comprehensively meet students’ needs.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training for the role
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferred.
  • Motivated to make a positive difference in students’ learning and well-being.
