Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Do you have experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we want you to join our dynamic team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant!

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Glossop

Start Date: April 15th 2024

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the emotional and educational development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs

Assisting the class teacher in implementing individualized learning plans

Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

Implementing behavior management strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being

Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student

Providing feedback and reporting progress to the SENCo and other relevant stakeholders

 

We're looking for candidates who possess:

✨ Experience working with children with SEMH needs in an educational setting

✨ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

✨ Patience, empathy, and resilience

✨ The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

✨ Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or a related field (desirable)
